After we already sended 6,000lm of skirtings to Tulln at the Danube, CEO Martin Pedross decided to raise the contribution to 30,000lm and providing the Austrian Red Cross with more than 36,000lm of popular skirtings and flooring profiles for the flood victims.

With flooring accessories worth about 50.000 euros, rooms which were destroyed by water and mud can be rapidly whipped back into shape. With an average room siz of 12m² 2,000 rooms can be renovated.

“And there are good reasons to help, because who himself has once been a victim of such a disaster, just can’t imagine not to help.” explains Carmela Amico International sales management. The headquarters of Karl Pedross AG was hit by a flood in 1987, when huge masses of water from the dam in the Val Martello devastated entire villages in the Val Venosta / South Tyrol. The water at that time was half a meter high in all production buildings and the resumption of production took us full 5 weeks.

The Pedross product range with veneered, solid and digitally printed skirtings and flooring profiles should actively and efficiently help to make damaged homes and offices as soon as possible habitable again.

The provided flooring profiles are transferred from South Tyrol to Hall in Tirol as needed and stored there at our long-term shipping partner, Gebrüder Weiss. From there the profiles are distributed to the victims all over Austria by the Red Cross.

Also in Germany is Bürkle Leisten & Profile GmbH already in touch with different relief organizations which will take donation in kind. As soon as the most important clearing work is done and people can start renovation their houses, we will provide them with flooring profiles and skirting boards.
